I supply heavy underground copper & cable wires for telecom and industrial projects across the U.S., Canada & abroad.

A Life Dedicated to Work, Family & Global Experiences
I’m Edgar Olsen, born October 31, 1957, and originally from Oslo, Norway. I’m a businessman and independent freelancer specializing in the sales and procurement of heavy underground copper and cable wires for telecommunication companies and industrial construction projects across the United States, Canada, and internationally.
Over the course of my career, I’ve built a dependable network of suppliers and clients and learned the logistics that keep large deployments moving on specification and on schedule. My work spans sourcing, vendor coordination, specification matching, and delivery oversight to ensure reliable outcomes for critical infrastructure.
Since COVID, I’ve worked independently from home, providing the same diligence and responsiveness my partners expect, just with a more flexible, remote footprint. I’m currently working toward retirement in December, focusing on closing out commitments responsibly and being selective about new opportunities where my experience and relationships add the most value.
I’ve lived in both the U.S. and Canada, and those years shaped how I operate: clear communication, consistency, and integrity come first. On the personal side, I’ve been divorced for seven years and I’m a proud father to one daughter, age 20—the most important role I hold.
As I plan the next chapter, my goal is simple: finish well, share what I’ve learned, and continue supporting teams that need dependable underground copper and cable solutions for telecom and industrial projects across North America and beyond.
My key areas of expertise.
As a Norway-born businessman and independent freelancer, I specialize in the sales and procurement of heavy underground copper and cable wires for telecommunication and industrial construction projects across the U.S., Canada, and internationally. Since COVID, I’ve operated remotely from home, focusing on clear communication, specification accuracy, and on-schedule delivery.
Procurement & Supply Chain
I handle end-to-end sourcing, vendor qualification, specification matching, negotiation, logistics coordination, and quality assurance, so materials arrive on time, on spec, and ready for deployment.
Telecommunication Infrastructure
My work supports OSP (outside plant) builds—from backbone and metro rings to last-mile access. I source copper and specialty cabling suited for underground ducts and direct-bury applications, with attention to pulling tension, bend radius, shielding, bonding/grounding, and moisture barriers. I align deliveries to construction windows, mitigate delays with alternates when appropriate, and coordinate with carriers, utilities, and contractors so splice crews and trench teams have exactly what they need, where and when they need it.
Industrial Construction Projects
For plants, campuses, and heavy-industry sites, I supply cable solutions that satisfy engineering specs and applicable codes/standards. I collaborate with EPCs, GCs, and project engineers on submittals, cable schedules, tray/conduit strategies, and change-order impacts. My role often includes value engineering (equivalent-performance alternates), phased deliveries to match installation sequencing, and packaging/labelling that speeds material handling and reduces on-site waste.
Global Networking & Partnerships
Having lived and worked in both the U.S. and Canada while serving clients abroad, I maintain a network of mills, distributors, and logistics partners that balances cost, lead time, and reliability. I track market conditions (including copper pricing dynamics), manage multi-currency quotations, and structure agreements that protect timelines. Ethical sourcing, supplier performance reviews, and long-term relationships are central to how I operate, because dependable partnerships are as critical as the cable itself.
